On May 28th, the Buckhead Heritage Society and the Atlanta History Center co-hosted Abraham Lincoln: How His Faith Shaped Policy presented by Billy Peebles, Headmaster at the Lovett School. Peebles discussed Abraham Lincoln’s “journey in faith” and how it contributed to important actions and policies he took as president. Peebles highlighted specific examples of when his faith played an important role in his decision-making, including his decision to emancipate the slaves during the Civil War.
