BACKEND INSTRUCTIONS, Monday, January 1, 2019

1. Change the Name to “Month Year Newsletter” with nothing else added. Only “January 2019 Newsletter” with no commas or dashes

2. The format should be “month-year-newsletter”. For example https://buckheadheritage.com/january-2019-newsletter/ Hit edit and change it if it does not automatically go to this once the title is changed in step 1

3. Any section you want to change anything about can be accessed by clicking the gear icon

4. Any section you want to delete can be taken care of by clicking the trash can icon (there should be more sections than you need, delete any extras)

5. Anytime you make changes or want to save your progress(you should save often), click the update button. The page will hang for a few seconds, then come back for you to continue editing

MEDIA INSTRUCTIONS, Monday, January 1, 2019

To insert pictures, click where you want the picture to go, then click on this button on the top left 

If the picture you want to insert has already been used somewhere on the site, just scroll down to find it, click on it once and go to the next step. If not, click on the Upload Files button  

Next hit “select files” in the middle of the page, then find the picture you want and hit “ok.” You will be brought to this screen after a few seconds wait for the file to upload. Try to select sizing around 400×400 or smaller, unless it is a featured image. 

Then hit “Select” for it to be inserted into the section 

 

  Now you need to choose how the picture interacts with the text around it. If you click on the image this box will popup above it. The two circled options will wrap text around the image, either putting the image on the left or right side of the box.

If you want to change where the image is vertically within the text, you can simply drag it up or down.
