“Civil War Activity in the Vicinity of The Lovett School”

Date: Saturday, September 10, 2011
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Location: The Lovett School, 4075 Paces Ferry Road, NW, 30327

In the summer of 2011, The Lovett School installed an exhibit commemorating the Civil War breastworks on the school’s campus. On September 10th, Buckhead Heritage Board Members Wright Mitchell and Chad Wright discussed the Civil War activity that unfolded in the vicinity of The Lovett School campus with approximately 40 guests. Attendees also had the opportunity to view the newly installed exhibit panels at the site, ask questions, and mingle with other Civil War buffs.

The Lovett School welcomes visitors to view the exhibit during normal school hours when the campus is open.

Directions: After entering the campus from Paces Ferry Road, turn right on the first road to the right. (Follow the signs for the physical plant.) The site of the new exhibit is located across the drive from the baseball field ticket booth.
