Buckhead Historic Cemeteries

There are ten historic cemeteries in Buckhead. Each whispers unique stories of early Buckhead, from the establishment of African American enclaves, to the existence of rural almshouses, to the impact of the Civil War in the area. Click on each cemetery name below to find out more!

In the late twentieth century, some of Buckhead’s churches began establishing memorial gardens and columbaria on their grounds for the burial of cremated remains. Click here for more information on this memorialization practice.
